In this Abstract Series #4 class, we’ll explore how abstraction and surrealism share common roots and creative approaches. You’ll draw on your realistic drawing skills to transform familiar subjects into imaginative abstract works. We’ll study a variety of artists and their creative processes, experimenting with their techniques to develop unique and expressive pieces of your own.

This class is designed specifically for tween and teen artists.

The tradition of Landscape Painting is nearly exclusive to the countryside, ocean views or sunrises. Inspired by the painter, Edward Hopper, we are opening up this genre to include the beauty of Denny’s restaurants, Conoco gas stations, The Waffle House, and more! Use your powerful drawing and painting skills to celebrate the world that we live in every day!

Drawing 101: Realism in Graphite. Charcoal & Paint

Our students of all ages repeatedly ask to learn how to draw and paint in a REALISTIC style. That makes sense considering that’s where ALL artists begin.This class is designed to give students all of the tools as well as the concepts to create space, form, light, and shadow as they create realistic Charcoal drawings, and acrylic paintings!

This class is specifically designed for adult artisits. 

This class is meant for artists who are ready to advance in their basic painting skills using acrylics with a focus on still life.

If you have taken our Beginning Still-life Painting class, or if you have a strong understanding of still-life value studies this class is your next step. Students will learn to introduce color into their paintings, and how to use advanced color palettes.

This class runs for 6 sessions on Monday mornings; 10:00am -12:00pm; 4/19/27, 4/26/27, 5/3/27, 5/10/27, 5/17/27, & 5/24/27.
