In this Abstract Series #4 class, we’ll explore how abstraction and surrealism share common roots and creative approaches. You’ll draw on your realistic drawing skills to transform familiar subjects into imaginative abstract works. We’ll study a variety of artists and their creative processes, experimenting with their techniques to develop unique and expressive pieces of your own.

This 9 session class will take place on Thursday mornings 10-12:00pm 1/7/27, 1/14/27, 1/21/27, 1/28/27, 2/4/27, 2/11/27, 2/18/27, 2/25/27 & 3/4/37.

Drawing 101: Realism in Graphite. Charcoal & Paint

Our students of all ages repeatedly ask to learn how to draw and paint in a REALISTIC style. That makes sense considering that’s where ALL artists begin.This class is designed to give students all of the tools as well as the concepts to create space, form, light, and shadow as they create realistic Charcoal drawings, and acrylic paintings!

This class runs for 7 sessions on Mondays 10-12:00pm; 2/22/27, 3/1/27, 3/8/27, 3/15/27, 3/22/27, 4/5/27, and 4/12/27.
