This class is designed for adult artists who are are ready to learn techniques of beginning oil painting.

Are you ready to learn something new? Have you always wanted to learn how to use oil paints, but it seemed overwhelming?Oil paints have a long history in the world of Art. We will learn about all of those possibilities. Students will also learn what paints, brushes, and mediums to buy, and when to use them. As a class, we will bring together the skills of drawing, color, mixing, and the painting process and empower our students as they ind their own way as artists!

This class runs for 5 sessions on Thursday's mornings; 10:00am-12:00pm; 9/18/25, 9/25/25, 10/2/25, 10/9/25 & 10/16/25.

This class is specifically designed for adult artisits. 

This class is meant for artists who are ready to advance in their basic painting skills using acrylics with a focus on still life.

If you have taken our Beginning Still-life Painting class, or if you have a strong understanding of still-life value studies this class is your next step. Students will learn to introduce color into their paintings, and how to use advanced color palettes.

This class runs for 5 sessions on Friday mornings; 10:00am -12:00pm; 9/19/25, 9/26/25, 10/3/25, 10/10/25 & 10/17/25.

This class is specifically designed for the tween/teen artist.

Many of our students from fifth grade to high school are absolute masters of sketching, shading, and rendering in pencil. I love to build on incredible skills, and strengthen students’ powers of observation.In this class, we will all sit around one huge table covered with paper.In the center?A life-size human skeleton!As everyone draws, they will see different parts from a different perspective. This strengthens individual confidence, knowledge of the human anatomy for artists, and drawing in perspective, including for shortening! The end product creates one enormous circular image of a ring of interlocking bones!Fun and challenging!Register now if you have skills and want even more!

This 4 session class will run on Mondays, 4:00pm-5:30pm; 9/29/25, 10/6/25, (Skipping over holiday 10/13/25), 10/20/25 & 10/27/25.

This Guided Studio class is designed for adult artists who are working on their own pieces of work. This class is by "invite only". If you are interested in this class, please email us at michaelsymberstudios@gmail.com. 

This "Guided Study" class is an extension your previous art classes at Michael Symber Studios. This is a perfect opportunity for you to continue exploring your new found skills and/or finish pieces you have already started. All supplies and studio space are included.

This class runs for 5 sessions on Tuesdays eveings; 6:00-8:00pm; 9/30/25, 10/7/25, 10/14/25, 10/21/25 & 10/28/25.
